The waterfall at the bottom of the rocket

The rocket launch will be on television but there will be very few who have not seen it.

That leap of fire and smoke from the countdown was a beautiful sight.

This refers to the Sound Suppression Water System (SSWS) found in the mobile rocket launch pads of NASA and SpaceX. waves) and heat.

These powerful waves can crash back onto the ground and cause harm to the rocket and its occupants. The purpose of this waterfall is to prevent this.

The waves from the rocket collide with the air bubbles in the water, so that a large portion of the wave’s energy is absorbed and compressed by the bubbles, which in turn converts this wave energy into thermal energy, which causes the water to evaporate and feel like smoke.
