The image containing your name will be sent to NASA Mars in the next mission in 2026. Anyone can sign up for this for free.
More than 10 million names were sent to this last Perseverance Rover. The names are affixed to micro-chips the size of a human nail and placed on a placard on the Mars Rover.
The names are embedded in the silicon wafer. The names are engraved on an electron beam (e-beam machine) less than 1 micron in size.
Applications to submit names are completely free. Anyone who wants to apply can apply without paying. Once you apply, you will also receive a free NASA boarding pass with your details.
