Hadar star

Beta Centauri, or Hadar, is the second brightest star in the constellation Centauris, which includes the closest star to Earth, Proxima Centauri.


Located 63 degrees south of the celestial equator, this star cannot be seen by stargazers 20 degrees north of the equator.


Located 490 light years away from Earth, this star is only one crore twenty lakh years old. One crore kilometers in diameter.
Hadar is a star that is rapidly evolving to become a red super giant star.
Now it is a blue star in the B2 type sequence of the mainstream constellation.
