Name Godwit

He broke the world record for the longest continuous flight ever reported by a living creature.

A 5-month-old juvenile godwit was tagged (tracked) and left Alaska on October 13.
Went to Ansan’s Bay, Tasmania..!!

Flying at least 13,560 km in 11 days and 1 hour, (that’s an average of over 51 km per hour) this record…
Don’t forget that there will be no food, drink or sleep on that trip!!!

Godwits are regular visitors to Tasmania, but this is the first time a tagged bird has flown between Alaska and Tasmania.
