Artemis’ mission is to land the first woman on the moon in 2024. NASA sees this lunar mission as the basis for future missions to Mars. The mission of Artemis is to identify the challenges facing mankind in the nearest celestial sphere and to energize experiences.
Before landing on the moon, two space missions will take place around the moon. The Artemis One mission will test the SLS and the Orion spacecraft.
The second Artemis mission will include astronauts. The following year, in 2024, the first woman and the next man will reach the moon as part of Artemis’ third mission.
It could be named after us, as it was sent to Mars in the past.
