What is LVM3?

Launch Vehicle Mark Three i.e. LVM Three is a renamed form of GSLV.
The rocket has a gross lift weight of 640 tonnes and a diameter of 5 meters and a length of 43.5 meters.

The first stage is a solid fueled engine, the second stage is liquid fueled and the third is cryogenic. LVM3 is capable of launching satellites weighing up to 10 tons into orbit. LVM 3 can carry 36 satellites weighing 5400 kg together into orbit.

Another 36 satellites of UK-based Network Access Associated Limited (OneWeb) will be launched from India on March 26 using LVM3.
