The most powerful rocket currently ready for launch, the SLS rocket, taller than the Statue of Liberty and capable of delivering up to 50 tons of material directly to the moon when fully powered in its future Block 2 configuration,
will launch to the moon with the unmanned Orion capsule on the 29th of this month, NASA says, if there are no other obstacles. This will be the first flight on the journey towards the historic achievement of establishing a colony on the South Pole of the Moon.
