The 54,250 tennis balls used during Wimbledon are kept at exactly 68 F as the heat affects the performance of the ball. After the first seven – nine games the balls change completely. Each one is checked for bounce and weight – for this, a ball must bounce 135 to 147 cm after being thrown from a height of 100 inches to a concrete floor.
