The first-ever discovered exoplanet

Thirty years ago, on January 22, 1992, was discovered PSR B1257+12 B, also nicknamed Poltergeist. It became the first-ever found planet outside the Solar System. Here are some facts about Poltergeist:

placed in the constellation Virgo
located 2,300 light-years away;
over four times as massive as the Earth;


has an orbital period of about 66 days;
orbits the pulsar PSR B1257+12 (Lich).
