Rivers and streams that originate from mountain tops and flow through valleys are common on earth. But have you ever heard of a spring that comes from a tree? There is a spring that comes from a tree in the European country of Montenegro. The water flows out of the tree only after heavy rains. Water also seeps out of the soil through the bark of a mulberry tree.
Once it rains heavily, water continues to flow from the bark of this mulberry tree for up to twenty-four hours. The reason for this outward flow is that there are many springs forming underground. The water from these springs is pressurized underground to reach the inside of the tree through the roots and out through the hole.
The phenomenon of water coming out of this 150 year old tree started twenty five years ago. The maximum lifespan of a mulberry tree is one hundred years. But now the inside of the tree is almost completely hollow. This is the reason why water flows out of the soil through the tree like a pipe.
