Hubble Space Telescope

A space telescope that can observe the universe at the same time in visible light, infrared, ultraviolet and wavelengths.
Hubble Space Telescope.

It was built by NASA with the help of the European Space Agency.
NASA has named the telescope after Edwin Hubble, who discovered that the universe was expanding. Hubble is the only space telescope built to date that astronauts can repair and upgrade in space.
It runs on solar energy.

Hubble has been in operation for 31 years and 4 months. Since its launch in 1990, Hubble has made more than 1.3 million observations. To this day, Hubble has been sending clear images of celestial objects such as planets, stars, nebulae, and galaxies to Earth. Hubble transfers about 140 gigabytes of data to Earth each week.
The astronomers who have handled this data have already published more than 15,000 scientific papers.

It includes detailed images of the birth and death of stars, galaxies billions of light-years away, black holes that pull everything around them, including light, and parts of comets that crashed into Jupiter’s atmosphere.

Hubble’s images have helped scientists estimate the age and size of the universe. This telescope has also played an important role in creating an understanding of the dark energy that causes the universe to expand faster and faster over time.
Hubble also studied the atmosphere of planets orbiting stars similar to our Sun.

Hubble has already orbited the Earth for more than 4 billion miles.
