Our Heart

Our heart is a vital organ made up of cardiac muscle, the size of a single folded hand (fist), weighing an average of 300gm, and constantly pumps like a four-chambered body.

The heart begins to form when the fetus is 18 to 19 days old, and after 22 days the heart begins to beat (beat) until death.

The heart of a healthy adult adult beats 72 times per minute at rest.

Heart rate (heart rate) is higher in children than in adults. The male heart is larger than the female heart of the same age. Therefore, men have a lower heart rate than women.

The healthy heart of a person living to the age of 75 beats more than 280 million times in a lifetime
Understand

Under conditions such as physical activity and exercise, the heart rate increases and the rate of sleep decreases.

The wave-like motion felt in the blood vessels as a result of the heart beating is called a ‘pulse’. Pulse and heart rate (Pulse and Rate of Heart Beat) are equal.

Pulse- heart rate can be assessed to diagnose many diseases. Diabetes, high BP,
Some heart disease, fever, kidney disease, some liver disease, insomnia, smoking, alcoholism, anger, fear, stress, hallucinations, anxiety,
Increases the heart rate of convulsions and the like.

When you lie, your heart rate rises and your BP rises.
It is based on this principle and so on

In some heart diseases, thyroid hormone deficiency, high potassium levels, and in some drug use, the heart rate decreases.

The heart pumps blood and delivers billions of cells of oxygen and nutrients needed to produce energy for the natural functioning of our cells.
The heart plays a key role in removing carbon dioxide and other contaminants from the cells and in regulating blood pressure (BP).

The heart of a healthy person pumps up to 7500 liters of blood a day. An adult has an average of 5 liters of blood in his body. (This 5 liters of blood is pumped back to the heart)

When we realize that most of the water tanks in our homes are 500 or 1000 liters, we realize the wonder that a heart weighing only 300gm pumps 7500 liters of blood a day.

It can be seen that the heart of a person who lives a healthy life till the age of 75 pumps a total of more than 200 million liters of blood in his lifetime.

The heart beats and pumps blood using electrical current (electrical signals) from its own electrical system.

The ECG can be used to check the heart’s electrical signals for abnormalities in the heart’s function, whether the heart is enlarged due to high BP, or whether a heart attack has occurred. The graph that records the heart’s electrical signals is called the Electro Cardio Gram

The risk of heart cancer is very low because most heart cells do not divide. However, tumors with heart cancer are very rare. Lung cancer, breast cancer, kidney cancer, and some liver cancers can sometimes spread to the heart. Leukemia can also affect the heart.
