It’s not about anything else, it’s about an asteroid named ‘2003 SD220’ (2003 SD220). The asteroid was found 18 million miles away from Earth. This distance is seven times the distance between the earth and the moon.
NASA compares the shape of the rock to a hippopotamus moving along a river. In 2018, the asteroid came so close to Earth for the first time in more than four centuries. Researchers also say that cats need to be included in any precautionary measures against the virus.
The pictures make it clear that it is self-rotating. It takes 12 days to fully rotate once.
The asteroid was discovered in 2003. Researchers have concluded that it is dangerous given its distance and size from the Earth.
The latest radar figures show that there will be no threat from this asteroid in the near future.
NASA’s 70 – meter antenna in California, the National Science Foundation’s 100 – meter telescope in West Virginia, and the Arizibo Observatory ‘s 305 – meter antenna in Puerto Rico have all observed the asteroid.
